Blanton's Gold Edition - 700ml
Originally launched in 1984 under the guidance of the distillery’s master distiller Elmer T. Lee, Blanton’s bourbon has become one of the most sought-after bottles of bourbon on the market today. Blanton’s Gold Edition was created for discerning bourbon aficionados who appreciate exceptional smoothness and complexity in their bourbon whiskey, according to Buffalo Trace. The mash bill ratios for this bourbon are not available, however, it uses the Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #2, which is said to be 12-15% rye.
The nose is first marked by spicy rye and tobacco notes. Caramel and honey follow soon after, mingled with dark fruit and citrus notes. The palate emulates the same complex nose with rye, tobacco, and honey at the forefront. Round and bold notes of charred oak and vanilla carry you through to an extremely long and harmonious finish. This bourbon consistently delivers on balance and character, on par with the world’s finest whiskey. Best served neat or with a splash of water.

Named after former distillery president Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who always had a very special supply of bourbon - his private reserve - handpicked and stored in legendary famous Warehouse H. The Blanton brand was launched in 1984 when Elmer T. Lee introduced the world to Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon a year before he retired. In doing so, he revolutionized the industry with the world’s first single-barrel bourbon. Blanton’s Straight From the Barrel was the third version created, after the Original 93 proof and Gold 103 proof. This cask-strength bourbon is beloved amongst connoisseurs.

This bourbon is deep amber in color, with charming and complex aromas and flavors of toffee, vanilla, oak, spice, dried apricot, and white pepper. Full-bodied and fruity, it is perfect on its own as an after-dinner delight, or pour a touch over French vanilla ice cream for dessert. Its smooth consistency makes it perfect for a premium cocktail or served on the rocks. Does not come with a box
